Feathers in Norse Mythology
Feathers in Viking mythology refer to crows, especially those of Odin, or to the story of Valshamr, the falcon feather coat. This coat belonged to the goddess Freyja as well as the goddess Frigg and allowed to transform into a falcon and to cross the nine worlds. According to legend, only the god of Malice, Discord and Illusions Loki, was the male being who could wear this coat. He used it to travel to Jötunheim to search for Thor's hammer.
