The Force of the Thunder God

The Ax is one of the most famous weapons in Viking history. It represents the power and the rage of these warriors of yesteryear. Positioned in the middle of the blade, we can see a symbol: the Thunder Cross. In pre-Christian pagan Europe, this swastika (swastika) usually represented a solar symbol. However, its use goes so far back in history that its original meaning is quite obscure. In the Baltic regions, this cross is associated with the god Perkon who controls thunder. In Norse mythology, it is associated with the son of Odin, the god Thor.
